When my son was a little younger, he seemed to have a gift for finding puddles.
Deep and muddy, the wetter the better. Suffice to say my wife and I used to
get annoyed by this.
After a little reflection (and plenty of changed clothes), we realized - what's the harm?
We began to enjoy the moment and the joy of kids find in the little things.
Now look for opportunities to have fun, make messes and be silly.
As I reflected more on this idea, it occurred to me that a number of significant events
in the Bible centered on water (whether it be pools, cisterns, rivers or seas). And so
our quest continues - looking for joy in life's puddles. |
